Elverson EMS visits Caernarvon Township Summer Day Camp

Today we took one of the ambulances to visit the Caernarvon Township Summer Day Camp being held in the park on North Street. The campers were holding a car wash to help pay for an end of camp party being held in August. Their faces looked quite surprised when we pulled the ambulance in for a good bath. Heat-related deaths and illness are preventable yet annually many people succumb to extreme heat. Historically, from 1979-2003, excessive heat exposure caused 8,015 deaths in the United States. During this period, more people in this country died from extreme heat than from hurricanes, lightning, tornadoes, floods, and earthquakes combined. Passing of past EMS Captain Harry Barnett Jr

It is with great regret that we announce the passing of past EMS Captain Harry Barnett Jr. Harry served his country in the United States Army before settling in Elverson to serve his community in the Emergency Services. Memorial Bike Ride stops in at Elverson EMS

This afternoon, Elverson EMS and the Twin Valley Fire Dept. provided a rest stop for over 80 participants during the EMS memorial bike ride. This event is held annually to pay tribute to all Emergency Medical Service workers and those injured or fallen.
